is hereby empowered to appoint a new trustee to con-
vey to said Purnell, the properly so purchased by him

of the first mentioned trustee, free, clear and discharged

of all claim of the parties to the cause, in which the
decree for the sale of said properly was passed, and of
any person claiming by, from or under them.

AN ACT to establish an additional, election District,
in Allegany County.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
by the petition of sundry citizens of district number one,
in Allegany county, that their convenience would be
greatly subserved by the alteration and division of elec-
tion district number one, and the creation of an addi-
tional district out of the same, Therefore,

Commission-
ers appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William Browning, John M. Arm-
strong and Edward Hoye, or a majority of them, of
Allegany County, be, and they are hereby appointed
commissioners, and authorised forthwith to review elec-
tion district number one, in said county, and in their
discretion, make such alteration and divisions, and create
an additional district, as better to subserve the conve-
nience of the inhabitants of said district, in said county,
and the said commissioners shall make a return of all
their proceedings to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, to
be there recorded at the expense of said county, and

paid as county charges are levied and paid; in case of
the death, resignation, removal from the county, or
refusal to act, of any of the commissioners named in this
act, the board of county commissioner shall immediately
fill such vacancy, by the appointment of other commis-
sioner or commissioners.

Rights of dis-
trict.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said district in-
tended to be created by virtue of this act, shall be enti-
tled to all the rights and privileges allowed to other elec-
tion districts in Allegany county, by virtue of the Con-
stitution and laws of this State.

Per diem.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
herein appointed, shall be allowed such compensation
for their services, as the commissioners of Allegany
county may deem reasonable, not exceeding two dol-
