CHAPTER 178.

AN ACT to refund to John Rawlings, late Collector
of Taxes in Cecil county, an overpayment made by
him into the Treasury.
|
|
|
Authority to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State, be, and
he is hereby authorised and directed, to pay upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, to John Rawlings, late
collector of taxes in Cecil county, or to his order, out
of any monies in the treasury not otherwise appropriat-
ed, the sum of twenty-seven dollars and eighty-four
cents; the said sum being due to the said John Raw-
lings, on account of an overpayment made by him into
the treasury, as appears by the books of the treasury
department of this State.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
CHAPTER 179.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the pay-
ment of Andrew Slicer and William Glover.
|
|
|
Authority to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, be, and he is hereby
authorised and directed to pay on the warrant of the
Comptroller, to Andrew Slicer, the sum of fifty dollars,
and to William Glover, the sum of fifty dollars, being
the amounts respectively due them for airing and
taking care of the Senate Chamber, under the order of
the Senate.
