unless the sum or sums so sworn to, shall, in the aggre-
gate, at least equal the amount of the penally thereof,
and shall be satisfied of the availability of such secu-
rity.

CHAP. 124.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the bond of the
paid agent, when duly executed and approved, as here-
inbefore provided, shall be recorded in the office of the
clerk of the Court of Appeals, and certified copies
thereof, under the seal of the said court, may be used
in evidence in any court of law in this State, and shall
have the same force and effect as if the original bond
were produced and proved.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money therein
named, in pay Philip A. Hammond, of Anne Arun-
del county, for Wood delivered in Annapolis, for
the use of the Government.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, is authorised and directed to pay to
Philip A. Hammond, of Anne Arundel county, the
sum of two hundred and forty seven dollars and fifty
cents, being for wood delivered in Annapolis for the
use of the government, for the present session.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall lake
effect from the date of its passage.
