seventeen hundred and ninety-one, for par t of a lo t of
ground in the town of Belle-Air, in Harford county,
and distinguished by lot No. 8, in the same manner
as if the said deed had been duly acknowledged.

1811.

AND BE IT ENACTED, That the deed afore-
said when recorded, shall have the same operation,
validity and effect in transferring to the said John
Reardon the lot of ground in the said deed mentioned,
as if the said deed had been duly acknowledged by
the said Samuel Durham, and recorded in the land
records of Harford county, within six months after
the date thereof; Provided nevertheless, That nothing
herein contained shall affect, or be construed to affect
the right or title of any person or persons, derived by
deed from the said Durham, since the execution of the
deed aforesaid.

Deed shall, be
valid under a
certain provi-
sion.

CHAPTER 72.

 

An act to prevent the opening of a road in Balti-
more county.

Passed Dec,, 27,
1811.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General As-
sembly by the petition of John Mackelfresh, of Balti-
more county, that an order has lately passed the levy
court of Baltimore county, for opening that part of
the old Hanover road, which passes through his land,
and which has been shut up ever since the Hanover
and Reister's-town turnpike road was opened; that
the opening the said road will be ruinous and destruc-
tive to him, and is not necessary for the public conve-
nience, and prays that the said road may not be open-
ed; and the same appearing reasonable: — Therefore,

Preamble.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the said road shall not be opened,
and the said John Mackelfresh is hereby authorised
and empowered to keep that part of the old Hanover
road which passed through his land shut up, any
order of the levy court of Baltimore county to the
contrary notwithstanding.

Road shall not
be opened.

CHAPTER 73.

 

An act for the benefit of William Taylor, of Wor-
cester county.

Passed Dec. 27,
1811.

WHEREAS, William Taylor was a soldier in the
Virginia line in the American revolution, and shed his
blood in the struggle for the liberty of his country, and
