E. Work, Wm. Henry Baily and Ned Thomas, in the
courts of Talbot and Queen Anne's counties, for the
abduction of slaves from Talbot county, the service be-
ing rendered by the direction of the Governor.

Resolution in favor of George M. Hiss, late Collector of
State Taxes, in Baltimore County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Treasurer of the State, pay to George M. Hiss,
late collector of State taxes, in districts numbers nine
and twelve, of Baltimore county, the sum of twenty-one
dollars and eighty-two cents, being the amount over
paid by him for taxes in said county.

Resolution in favor of Israel Pearce.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Treasurer of the State, pay to Israel Pearce,
or order, the sum of seventeen dollars and seventy-
three cents, for the over payment of taxes from the year
eighteen hundred and forty-one, to the year eighteen
hundred and forty-nine, inclusive.
