tachment or execution, or be affected by the insolvent
laws of the State of Maryland.
SEC. 7 And be it enacted, That a certificate under
seal of the corporation, of the ownership of any lot

aforesaid, shall, in all respects, have the same effect
as any conveyance from the said corporation of such
lot would have, if executed, acknowledged and re-
corded as conveyances of real estate are required to
be, and that such certificate may be recorded among
the land records of Allegany county, and a certified
copy thereof shall be received as evidence in any
court of law or equity in this State.

CHAP. 527.

Certificate of
ownership.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That it shall he obliga-
tory on said corporation, when requested by any re-
ligious congregation, as soon as the said corporation
shall have acquired the land as aforesaid, and laid off
the lots of which the said corporation shall have made
a map, and shall return the same to the clerk's office
of Allegany county, and have the same recorded, to
designate, by course and distance, in writing, under
the seal of said corporation, such portion of ground
as said corporation shall deem sufficient and proper
for said religious congregation thus making applica-
tion for a burial ground for said religions congregation,
shall have the exclusive control and superintendence
of interment therein to be made, and said corpo-
ration shall not sell or dispose of lots within said
limits, without the permission to each individual de-
siring a lot in said limits from the said congregation,
or the minister of said congregation, in writing, and
when said designation is so made as aforesaid to any
religious congregation, the said corporation shall have
no power to revoke, annul or alter the same, without
the consent of said congregation, the said allotment
shall be in perpetuity, the said designation and allot-
ment as aforesaid shall not be considered as vesting
any ownership of the land within said limits in said
religious congregation, but the said corporation shall
sell and dispose of said lots, and receive compensation
therefor, in like manner as for the lots with the pro-
hibition or restriction as aforesaid.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted. That all money arising
from the sale of lots, or otherwise, received by said
corporation, shall be expended in purchasing said
ground, improving, maintaining and beautifying said
Cemetery, and the roads leading thereto.

in force from its passage.
