CHAP. 527.

never been since alienated by the said grantors, and is
now in the possession of the said Edward Boyer Price,
who holds and claims the same, as the son and heir at
law of the said John Boyer Price, deceased, and whose
right to the same is disputed by no one, but universally
conceded — Therefore, for the purpose of giving effect to
said deed.

Made valid.

SECTION 1. Re it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the clerk of Cecil county court, be
and he is hereby authorised to receive and record the
two aforementioned deeds, at any time within six months
from the passage of this act, and that when so recorded,
they shall have the same force and effect, to every in-
tent and purpose, as they would have had if they had
both been executed, acknowledged and recorded in
strict conformity with the requirements of the laws of
Maryland.

Not to affect
rights.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing herein con-
tained shall be so construed as to affect any suit or ac-
tion at law or in equity, now depending, or to affect the
rights of any bona fide purchaser, or any creditor whose
lien may have attached on the lands mentioned in said
deed or deeds, prior to the passage of this act.

CHAPTER 527.

An act to incorporate the Cyprus Grove Cemetery.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The citizens of the Town of Cumber-
land, and its vicinity, are desirous of establishing a
Cemetery at or near Cumberland, in the county of
Allegany, in this State, upon land to be selected and
purchased, or acquired by gift or otherwise, hereafter,
and have associated themselves together for that pur-
pose, the said property, when purchased, to bo ap-
propriated exclusively for the purposes of a public
Cemetery; and whereas, it seems reasonable and ne-
cessary to provide for the permanence of said estab-
lishment, so that those who enter there, may be as-
sured of perpetual protection to the remains of rela-
tives and friends, and for decent preservation of the
grounds — Therefore.

&c.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Baptist Mattingly, Michael Wisel,
James B. Gibbs, Robert S. McKaig, John Gephart
