CHAP. 367.

ter said levy, the road that may be located as aforesaid,
shall be deemed and taken as a public road, and kept in
repair at the expense of the district.

To make oath.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners,
before they proceed to act, shall dike and subscribe an
oath, that will faithfully execute the provisions of this
act, without prejudice or partiality, and shall give at
least ten days notice to the proprietors of lands and oth-
ers interested, by advertisement set up at public places
in the neighborhood, of the time and place of meeting,
for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of
this act.

CHAPTER 366.

An act for the relief of Thomas L. F. Higgins.

Time extended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the time of Thomas L. F.
Higgins, trustee of Richard S. Anderson, late collector
of the fifth election district, in Montgomery county, to
complete collections, is hereby extended ^two years from
the passage of this act.

To make oath.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas
L. F. Higgins, before he shall proceed to collect any
money, by virtue of this act, as former collector, shall
make oath, before some justice of the peace in said
county, that the same is due, and that he has never re-
ceived any part or parcel of the same, nor any one for
him, to the best of his knowledge and belief.

CHAPTER 367.

1850.

An act for the relief of Elizabeth A. Middleton, of
Charles County.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears to this General Assembly, that
Mrs. Elizabeth A. Middleton, of Charles county, has
been paying State and county taxes above what she
is justly chargeable with on the amount of one thou-
sand dollars, for six years — Therefore,
