1849.

after a new election for delegates, then this act, and
the alterations and amendments herein provided, shall
be taken and considered as, and constitute a part of
the Constitution and Form of Government of this
State, anything contained in said Constitution and
Form of Government to the contrary thereof, notwith-
standing, and every matter and article in said Consti-
tution and Form of Government, in any manner con-
flicting with any provision contained in this act shall,
and the same is hereby repealed, annuled, and abro-
gated.

CHAP. 349.

An act to incorporate the Trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Parsonage, of Patapsco Circuit.

Passed Feb. 28,
1850.

WHEREAS, the Methodist. Episcopal Church of Pa-
tapsco circuit, located in Howard district; of Anne Arun-
del county, and Carroll county, have purchased a house
and lot of land, of about three-fourths of an acre, in the
village of Lisbon, in the district aforesaid, as parsonage
property, for the accommodation of the married preach-
ers of the church aforesaid, who may be annually ap-
pointed to the pastoral charge of the said circuit, by the
constituted authorities of the said church; and whereas,
the church aforesaid, have appointed Thomas H. Hood,
Samuel Gore, Henry W. Hood, Zadoc Waters, Asbury
Peddicord, John Thompson, McLane Brown, Thomas
Barnes, and James H. Hobbs, trustees to the said par-
sonage, in connexion with Richard Brown, pastor for
the time being, and his successors in office, as president
of the said board of trustees; and whereas, the aforesaid
church are desirous of placing the aforesaid parsonage
properly, with all its appendages that may hereafter be
acquired, on the most permanent basis — Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the aforesaid Richard Brown, and
his successors in office, Thomas H. Hood, Samuel
Gore, Henry W. Hood, Zadoc Waters, Asbury Ped-
dicord, John Thompson, McLane Brown, Thomas
Barnes, and James H. Hobbs, trustees, and their suc-
cessors in office, appointed as hereinafter provided, shall
be and they, and their successors, are hereby declared
