Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Montgomery county, be
and they are hereby authorised and directed, if in their
discretion they may see fit to do so, to levy upon this
assessable properly in said county, for the use of Thom-
as P. Stabler, twenty-eight, dollars, and Isaac Holland,
fourteen dollars, with interest from the time of their set-
tlement with the commissioners until paid, for services
rendered by them in superintending the construction of
a bridge over the Patuxent river, near the site of Snoll's
bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Hugh Gelston, Christian G. Con-
radt, and James W. Smith, of the city and county of
Baltimore, and George Mattingly, of the city of Wash-
ington, District of Columbia, and such other persons as
may be associated with them hereafter, in manner here-
in provided, shall be and they are hereby incorporated
and made a body politic and corporate, by the name of
the Calverton Manufacturing Company, and by that
name, shall have succession, and be able and capable to
sue and be sued, to plead and be impleaded, in any
court of law and equity; and they may have and use a
common seal, and the same to alter and renew at pleas-
