CHAP. 31

Rights reserved.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the right is here-
by expressly reserved to the General Assembly of Mary-
land, to alter, amend or annul this act of incorporation
at pleasure.

Made valid.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the acts of said as-
sociation, and of the members thereof as such, which
do not exceed the powers to them, granted by this act of
incorporation, and which have hitherto been clone, be
and they are hereby declared and made valid and effec-

tual in law.

An act to Incorporate the Weverton Savings Insti-
tution.

Incorporated,
&c.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Stewart, Henry Bell, Adam
Wever, John Beard, Samuel B. Preston, William
Newton, Jacob Rinehart, Samuel Barries, Peter
Rhodes, J. T. Hall, Samuel Suter, Amos Gosnel, Job
Miller, Jonathan Foucke, John Brown, Samuel Speak-
er, James H. Claggett, Samuel Brown, Jacob Grim, James
Elgin, Lewis Bell, Henry Alexander, Patrick Norris,
William S. Elgin, John Hoover, Richard Grim, George
Yerty, Peter Miller, Oliver Jacobs, William 6. Kirk-
heart, Peter Stouffer, Edward Evans, and Benjamin
Grim, and all and every other person hereafter becom-
ing members of the Weverton Savings Institution,
in the manner hereafter mentioned, shall be and are
hereby created or made a corporation or body politic,
by the name and style of the Weverton Savings In-
stitution, and by that name shall have succession,
and be capable by law to hold and dispose of real and
personal property, by deed or otherwise, to sue and
be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and defend,
and be answered and defended, in courts of law and
equity, or in any other place whatsoever, and to re-
ceive and make all deeds, transfers, contracts, convey-
ances and grants whatsoever, and to make, have and
use a common seal, and the same to change and
renew at pleasure, and generally 10 do every other
act or thing necessary to carry into effect the provi-
sions of this act,
