LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 39.

United States, and the said printed volume shall, in
all cases, be received as evidence of said statutes,
without any further authentication or proof thereof.

In force.

SEC. 2, And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
force from and after its passage.

An act to revive the Planters Bank of Prince George's
County.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that various debts to the said Planters Bank are
now in controversy and suit, and cannot be prosecuted
or defended by reason of the expiration of the charter
of said bank — Wherefore for remedy thereof,

Bank revived.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the charter of the said Planters
Bank of Prince George's county, be and the same is
hereby revived and extended, and the said Planters
Bank of Prince George's county, shall have full power
and authority, by its said corporate name, to institute
any and all such legal and equitable proceedings as
may be necessary to enable it to settle and wind up
its concerns, and to collect its debts, in the same man-
ner and to the same extent as if the charter of said
Bank had not expired.

May prosecute
&c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or per-
sons who, by reason of assignments made to him or
them by the said Planters Bank, may have suits now
pending in the name of said Bank, or judgments
entered to his, her or their use, may carry on, prose-
cute and defend said suits and judgments in the name
of said Bank, to the same extent and in the same
mariner as if the said charter had not expired.

Now in force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage, and continue in
force until the first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-five.
