CHAP. 198.

which may become due them for the year succeeding
the year of such levy.

How collected.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum or sums
directed to be levied by this act, shall be collected by the
collector of Frederick county, as other county charges
are now collected, and shall be accounted for by him
as hereinafter directed.

Duty of collec-
tor.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of said collector to pay to the several judges of the or-
phans court of Frederick county, on the second Tues-
days of August and February, of each year, such sums
of money as they shall be entitled to receive as their
pay, to be ascertained and evidenced as hereinafter di-
rected.

Duty of regis-
ter of wills.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That from and
after the passage of this act, it shall be the duty of the
register of wills for Frederick county, to furnish to the
collector of said county, on the second Tuesdays of
August and February, of each year, a statement under
his hand and seal of office, shewing the amount due
the respective judges of the orphans court for the six
months preceding the rendition of such statement.

Annual settle-

ment.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the said collector
shall annually settle his account with the said levy court,
for the moneys which he may have collected under the
provisions of this act, and pay over to the said levy
court any surplus remaining in his hands, which sur-
plus shall be applied to county uses.

An act to incorporate the German Building Associa-
tion, number Two, and the Fell's Point Building
Union.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that George Strohmeyer, William Holtzman, Thomas
Beck, S. Brown, Fr. Baike, Jos. Inderrieden,
S. Pnzel, Gottlieb Betz, Abr. Pollack, Konrad Dia-
bole, Dr. B. Grier, C. Batcht, Lewis Lauer, J. Lauer,
Eugene Stohmeyer, Henry Helfenbein, Teodor Hol-
thouse, and others, have associated for the purpose of
creating funds by periodical contributions from the as-
sociates, which may, on such terms as the rules of the
association prescribe, be lent to the members of the as-
