Preamble.
|
An act to make valid the acts of William Perkins, a
Justice of the Peace of Queen Anne's County.
WHEREAS, it is represented to the General Assembly
of Maryland, that a commission did issue from the Exe-
cutive of Maryland, bearing date February the twenty-
second, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, constituting
and appointing William Perkins one of the justices
of the peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Queen
Anne's county, and that the said William Perkins did
qualify as such on the thirtieth of March of the same
year; and whereas, it does appear that the said Wil-
liam Perkins had not resided within the county six
months — Therefore,

Made valid.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all acts performed and done by William Perkins,
a justice of the peace in and for Queen Anne's county,
be and the same are hereby made as valid and effectual
in law as though the said William Perkins had been a
bona fide resident of the county aforesaid, at the time
such acts and performances as justice of the peace
were made.

An act relating to the Court of Howard District of
Anne Arundel County, and to Baltimore City Court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, the provisions of any law relating to the civil and
criminal jurisdiction of the county courts of this State,
shall extend to the court of Howard district of Anne
Arundel county, although said district be not named
therein.
