LICENSES — The licences issued to auctioneers by
the Treasurer shall be for the term of

one year only, and at the expiration of

the first year, &c.. Treasurer to issue a

second license for the like period, on pay-

ment of same fee as now required, &c.,

if Treasurer is satisfied that bond has

been renewed as required, &c., and

that said auctioneer has settled in full

at the treasury, &c., and any auctioneer

selling any goods, &c., which are liable

to duty under the act, regulating: sales

by public auction, during the second

year without renewed license, to be

liable to the penalties imposed by the

auction laws of this State, or any person

selling as aforesaid without first obtain-

ing license.

The same duties specified in the

first section of act of 1846, chap; 288,

shall be chargeable on all goods, &c.,

sold, &c., at private sale, on the day of

his public auction.

act of 1846, chap. 249, shall not be held

to prohibit the sale of any iron or to-

bacco by the person who manufactured

the same.
