An act supplementary to the several ads relating to, the
Poor School Fund of Cecil County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall be the duty of the justices
of the Orphans court of Cecil county, to publish or
cause to be published annually, in some newspaper
printed in said county, a full and detailed statement of
the condition of the poor school fund of said county,
showing in every such annual statement, in what man-
ner any and every portion of said fund may, at the
time the publication thereof, be invested.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the
passage of this act, it shall be the duty of the justices of
the Orphans court of Cecil county, to pay or cause to be
paid in quarterly payments, if demanded, whatever sums
of money may be due for the tuition of the poor
scholars of said county.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the first statement
made under the first section of this act, shall be pub-
lished on or before the first Saturday in May, eighteen
hundred and forty-eight.

An act authorising the Conversion of Maryland Ster-
ling Bonds in Currency Stock.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That upon the implication of the holder of any of
the sterling bones of this State, and upon the sur-
render and cancelling of the same, and of their
proper coupons, the commissioner of loans, shall
be and he is hereby authorised and required, to
issue to, and in the name of said applicant, or
other person named by him, the ordinary loan office
