1847.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That as soon as the bonds
of the said James Urie shall be filed and approved by
the court, the bonds of the said Samuel J. Jarman to the
said minors, shall be delivered up to the said Samuel J.
Jarman, and shall from thenceforth cease to be of any
validity, force or effect, and if it. shall appear to the
court that the interest or any part of the interest on the
said bonds shall have been paid by the said James Urie
to the guardian of the said minors, the same shall be
allowed to the said1 James Urie in the taking of his said
bonds.

An act to incorporate the Health Insurance Company of
Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it entitled by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Charles Dunlap, J. H. T. Jerome, J.
Armitage, R. B. Porter, F. M. Baughman, R. C. Morse,
S. C. Ridgway and all others who now are or may hereaf-
ter become officers and members of the Health Insurance
Company of Maryland, be and they are hereby created
and declared to be a community, corporation and body

politic, by the name, style and title of the Health Insu-
rance Company of Maryland, and by that name they and
their successors shall and may at any time thereafter be
capable in law to sue and be sued, plead and be im-
pleaded, answer and be answered unto, defend and be
defended in all or any courts of justice, and before all or
any judges, officers or persons whatsoever, in all and
singular actions, matters and demands whatsoever.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall and may be
lawful for the said corporation to receive, retain or dis-
pose of at pleasure, property, real and personal, all devi-
ses or bequests of any person or persons, bodies corpo-
rate or politic capable of making the same, and may
have and use a common seal, and the same at their will
and pleasure change, alter and make anew from time to
time, as they may think best, and shall in general have
and exercise all such rights, privileges and immunities
as by law are incident and necessary to corporations, and
which may be necessary to the corporation herein con-
stituted, and to enable the members thereof to exercise
all things concerning the design of this corporation, for
