SEC. 4. Ana be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the judges of the several county courts, and of ail
other courts having criminal jurisdiction of this State,
at each and every term of said courts to give this act
in charge to the grand juries.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the act entitled,
an act to prohibit the sale of spirituous liquors on the
Sabbath day, passed at December session eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-four, chapter two hundred and forty-
four, be and the same is hereby repealed.

An act authorising the establishment of Manufacturing
Companies at Weverton.
WHEREAS, By virtue of an act passed December
session eighteen hundred and thirty-four, chapter one
hundred and forty-four, entitled, an act to incorporate
the Weverton Manufacturing company, much expense
has been incurred in the developement and improve-
ment of an extensive and useful water power in
Frederick and Washington counties; and whereas, sun-
dry plans and associations are in contemplation for the
erection of various manufactories upon desirable sites
of said water power, and after the expiration of the
present session no opportunity will be afforded for the
incorporation of said association for two yeans — There-
fore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the expiration of the
present session, any number of persons more than five
and less than twenty desirous of establishing manufac-
tories of any kind upon the water power above referred
to, by filing their articles of agreement, with their re-
spective names subscribed thereto, in the clerks offices
of Frederick and Washington counties, and having the
same recorded therein, may be and they are hereby in-
corporated under such style and title as they may se-
lect.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the incorporations
which may be established in pursuance of this act shall
be entitled to all the lights, privileges and powers, and
