RESOLUTIONS

on the Seven Foot Knoll, in the Chesapeake bay, near
the mouth of the Patapsco river, for a Light House on
Greenbury's point, at the mouth of the harbor of Anna-
polis river, and also for a Light House on Flat Cap,
at the mouth of Annamessex river.
Resolved further, That His Excellency the Governor
be requested to forward a copy of the foregoing resolu-
tion to our Senators and Representatives in the Congress
of the United States.

Resolution in favor of Margaret Long.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of this State be, and he is hereby directed
to pay Margaret Long, formerly Margaret Carr, of Bal-
timore county, widow of John Carr, a soldier of the
Revolution, or to her order, the half pay of a private, in
quarterly payments, in consideration of the services ren-
dered by her husband during the War of the Revolution,
and that she be placed where resolution number fifty-
three, of December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
five, placed her, and that said resolution, number fifty-
three, is hereby repealed.

Preamble.
|
Preamble and Resolution in relation to the Murder of
Thomas Henderson.
WHEREAS, an atrocious murder has been lately com-
mitted by some person or persons unknown, upon the
body of Thomas Henderson, a resident of Montgomery
county, in this State —
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be, and he is hereby requested and autho-
rised, to offer a reward of two hundred dollars for the
apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders.
