Resolution in favor of Sarah H. Barroll.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State, be directed to refund to Sarah
H. Barroll, the amount of twenty-one dollars and six
cents, being for taxes illegally collected from her.

Preamble.
|
Preamble and resolution in favor of Jonathan Huddle-
son.
WHEREAS, by virtue of a special act of the Legislature
of Maryland at its December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-four, an investigation of the official transac-
tions of Jonath in Huddleson, late superintendent of the
National Road, was had, which resulted in the fact, that
the State of Maryland for said road, proved to be in-
debted to the said Huddleson, the sum of forty-eight dol-
lars and sixty-six and two-thirds cents, as will more fully
appear by reference to the report of said investigating
committee; and whereas, in said law, no provision is
made for the payment thereof — Therefore,
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the directors of the National Road in Maryland, are here-
by required to pay to the said Jonathan Huddleson, the
above named sum of forty-eight dollars and sixty-six and
two-thirds cents.

Resolutions in relation to Colonel Trueman Cross, Major
Samuel Ringgold, aud others.
Resolved, That the General Assembly of Maryland
record, with melancholy pleasure, their profound sensi-
bility of the loss which this State has sustained in the
death of Colonel Trueman Cross, of Major Samuel Ring-
gold, of Colonel William H. Watson, of Major William
Lear, of Captain Randolph Ridgley, of Passed Midship-
