CHAP. 247.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all such parts of said
original act, and the several supplements thereto as are
inconsistent with this act be, and the same are hereby
repealed.

CHAPTER 246.

Repealed.

An act authorising Thomas D. Cockey, to erect Gates on a
County Road in Baltimore County.

Passed March
9, 1847.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Thomas D. Cockey is hereby empow-
ered and fully authorised to erect two substantial gates on
the county toad adjacent to his premises, for the purpose
of preventing stock from being killed on the Baltimore and
Susquehannah Rail Road.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Cockey shall
erect, at his own expense the said gates, and keep them
in good repair, so constructing them that they shall open
and shut without trouble; and if the said Cockey neglects
or refuses to comply with the provisions of this act in
any particular for a time exceeding twenty days, it shall
be lawful for any person or persons to remove said gates;
and all acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act

CHAPTER 247.

Repealed.

An act to authorise the Trustees of the Burkittsville School
District in Frederick County, to procure by purchase or
otherwise a lot of ground, and build a School House
thereon in said District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the persons now acting as trustees, or
a majority of them, of the Burkittsville primary school
district, in Frederick county be, and they are hereby au-
thorised and empowered to procure by purchase or other-
wise, a lot of ground and build a school house thereon in
said district.
