CHAP. 239.

Coupons and
certificates.

expenses of the State, the current interest on the main
public debt, the interest on the bonds given for coupons
and certificates of interest as aforesaid, and the certifi-
cates given for the differencc between six per centum
and the interest actually paid in any year on the said
bonds, shall be by the said treasurer applied first to the
payment of such interest in arrear as may remain un-
funded, and after such unfunded interest is entirely dis-
charged, either to the purchase or redemption, in his dis-
cretion, of the bonds issued for arrears of interest under
the second section of this act, until all said bonds shall
have been purchased or redeemed, after which all such
surplus monies shall be applied to the increase of the
sinking fund, and the extinguishment of the main debt.

Repealed.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all acts, and parts of
acts of Assembly, inconsistent with the provisions of
this act be, and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 239.

An act to after and change I fie divisional lines between the
First, Second and Third Election Diftricts in Dorches-
ter County.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
by petition from sundry citizens of Dorchester county,
setting forth that the public convenience would be greatly
subserved by the alteration of the divisional lines of the
election districts numbers one, two and three, in said

county, — Therefore,

Divisional
lines changed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That instead of the lines heretofore laid down
as the limits, metes and bounds of the first election dis-
trict in Dorchester county, they shall run as follows: be-
ginning at the bridge over the north-west fork, branch or
prong of Nanticoke river, at Fcderalsburgh, thence
down said branch or prong to the mouth of Harrison's
Mill creek, thence up said creek to the dam of said mill,
thence with the county road to Nicoll's Cross Roads,
thence with the main road to intersect a road leading from
Crotcher's ferry to the town of Vienna, thence to the
