An act to alter the present road system in Prince George's
County.
|
|
|
Repealed, &c.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act passed at December session,
eighteen hundred awl forty-three, chapter two hundred
and four, entitled, an act to regulate the repairs of pub-
lic loads in Prince George's county be, and the same is
hereby repealed from and after the expiration of existing
contracts made in pursuance thereof.

To be repair-
ed, &c.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That. the public roads of
said county, shall be repaired in the manner provided for
in the laws repealed by the act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter two hun-
dred and four, except so much thereof as conflicts with
the provisions herein contained.

Rates of hire.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the levy court of said
county are hereby authorised to allow to supervisors of
said roads, the sum of one dollar and fifty cents per day for
their services; to all males above the age of eighteen,
the, sum of seventy-five cents per day, and to women
and all boys between the age of fifteen and eighteen, the
sum of fifty cents per diem.

An act to incorporate the German Jefferson Beneficial
Society of the State of Maryland.
|

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Valentine Resch. Michael Frendenberger
Adam Noll, Andrew Diehl, Joseph Leitsch, Adam Adam,
Adam Mutze, Frederick Sitzler, Reichert Herman, Pe-
ter Herrman, John M. Reich, Henry Besenburg and
others, have formed themselves into a society for the lau-
dable purposes of affording relief to each other and their
respective families in the event of sickness, distress and
death; and have prayed for an act of incorporation, that
they may the better execute their intentions, and the, Le-
gislature being desirous of promoting such useful institu-
tions — Therefore,
