CHAP. 149

CHAPTER 148.

Passed Feb.
26, 1847.

An act to authorise William Rose, Collector of Talbot
County, for the years eighteen hundred and forty and
forty-one, further time to complete his collections.

Authorised to
collect.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William Rose, collector of the taxes
for Talbot county, for the year eighteen hundred and
forty and forty-one be, and he is hereby authorised and
empowered to collect any taxes, or balances of taxes,
now remaining due to, and uncollected by him in the
same manner and with the same privileges and powers
as are allowed by the existing laws in such cases made
and provided.

Make affidavit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid William
Rose shaft, in every instance before he proceeds to col-
lection, make affidavit before some justice of the peace
of said county, that the same remains unpaid, and that
he has not received any security or satisfaction for the
same or any part thereof, more than what credits may
be allowed thereon.

In force until
1848.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force until the first day of May, eighteen hundred and
forty-eight.

CHAPTER 140.

Passed Feb.
25, 1847.

An additional supplement to the act entitled, an act for
amending and reducing into system the laws and regu-
lations concerning last Wills and Testaments, the duties
of Executors, Administrators and guardians, and the
rights of orphans and other representatives of deceased
persons.

Authorised to
revoke.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the orphans courts of the several coun-
ties in this State be, and they are hereby authorised and
empowered, in their discretion and whenever to them it
shall seem proper, upon the application in writing of any
guardian or guardians whom they may have appointed
to revoke the appointment of such guardian or guardians,
and to appoint a new guardian or guardians.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That in case of guardian
or guardians whose appointment is revoked as aforesaid,
