CHAP. 111.
Make oath.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That before the commis-
sioners proceed to the performance of their duty above
indicated, they shall take an oath before some justice of
the peace, either of Anne Arundel or Prince George's
county, that they will faithfully and impartially assess the
value of rebuilding said bridge, and a true return thereof
under their hands and seals, make to the commissioners
of Anne Arundel county and to the levy court of Prince
George's county.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That as soon as the com-
missioners of Anne Arundel county and the levy court of
Prince George's county, receive from the commissioners
appointed by this act, the certified amount of valuation for
the rebuilding said bridge, they shall proceed to levy one
half of the sum upon the assessable property of Anne
Arundel county, and the other half upon the assessable
property of Prince George's county, for the use of Tho-
mas R. Beard and Jacob Hall.

Commission-
ers allowed $2
per day.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
appointed by this act, shall be paid at the rate of two
dollars per day whilst engaged in the performance of the
duties required.

CHAPTER 111.

Passed Feb.
6, 1847.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to authorise the
Trustees of School District Number Two, in Election
District Number one of Talbot County, to levy a tax
for the payment of rent due for School Houses in said
District.

Authorised
to appoint a
clerk.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the trustees of school district number two
in election district number one, of Talbot county be, and
they are hereby authorised and empowered to appoint a
clerk for the purpose of making out the levy list required
and authorised by the original act to which this is a sup-
plement, in case of the neglect or refusal of the clerk of the
primary schools for said district, to make out and furnish
said levy list, within twenty days after requisition upon
him for the same by the trustees of said school district.

Compensation
allowed to cl'k.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the trustees of said
school district be, and they are hereby authorised, to
allow said clerk so appointed, such compensation as they
