CHAPTER 12.

An act entitled, an act to repeal the act of Assembly passed
at December session eighteen hundred and forty-five,
chapter two hundred and sixty-six.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act of Assembly passed at December
session eighteen hundred and forty-five, chapter two hun-

dred and sixty-six, be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall have
full force and effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 13.

Effect from
passage.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Merchant's Mutual Insurance Company of Baltimore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the first meeting of the Merchant's Mu-
tual Insurance Company of Baltimore for the election of
directors, shall be held on the second Monday in April,
eighteen hundred and forty-seven; and that subsequent
meetings for the same purpose shall be held on the same
day in every year, or within twenty days thereafter, in-
stead of the first Monday in March, as provided in the
eighth section of the act to which this act is a supple-
ment.

Watchman Fire Company.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General As-
sembly, that certain members of the Watchman Fire
Company of Baltimore, have formed themselves into an
association for the purpose of collecting a library of lite-
rary and scientific books, and of holding stated meetings
for the hearing of lectures and essays, with a view of
exciting and fostering among its members a desire for
mental cultivation and improvement, lor the better ac-
