On failure to render and pay over the

amount of tax as aforesaid, treasurer to

notify Attorney General, who shall by act-

tion of debt, etc. sue, etc.

If any individual or corporation etc.

authorised to insure, etc. shall before the

1st July next, and semi-annually pay to

the treasurer $500, to be exempt from the

provisions of this act, etc.

Unless assent be filed on or before 1st

day of June, in the Executive Depart-

ment, then every policy made after said

1st day of June, when the risk shall be

for a period exceeding three months, shall

be written, etc. on paper, etc. stamped

according to act of 1844, ch. 280, etc.

commissioner of stamps, etc. in said last

act mentioned, to execute this act in all re-

spects as by the said act, was prescribed,

etc. to account with and pay over to trea-

surer all monies, received, etc. under the

penalty of act of 1844, ch. 280, &c.

The 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th, sec. of said

act, to be deemed as parts of this, to all in-

tents, &c. provided the refusal of said in-

dividuals, &c., to file their assent, &c.

shall bring into operation the 6th section

of this act.
