OF INSURANCE—

to the State one dollar for every policy,

—— to transmit to treasurer, etc. ac-

count under oath, of all policies made

after 1st May next, and semi-annually, etc.

and at the same time pay to the treasurer

the amount of tax so imposed by 1st sec.

On failure to render and pay over the

amount of tax as aforesaid, treasurer to

notify Attorney General, who shall by act-

tion of debt, etc. sue, etc.

the treasurer $500, to be exempt from the

provisions of this act, etc.

Unless assent be filed on or before 1st

day of June, in the Executive Depart-

ment, then every policy made after said

1st day of June, when the risk shall be

for a period exceeding three months, shall

be written, etc. on paper, etc. stamped

according to act of 1844, ch. 280, etc.

act mentioned, to execute this act in all re-

spects as by the said act, was prescribed,

etc. to account with and pay over to trea-

surer all monies, received, etc. under the

penalty of act of 1844, ch. 280, &c.

act, to be deemed as parts of this, to all in-

tents, &c. provided the refusal of said in-

dividuals, &c., to file their assent, &c.
