LICENSE

TO TRADERS, &c. —

the person returned upon said list, consider

himself aggrieved, shall before he take out

license make oath, etc. and specify the true

amount, etc. and then license to issue.

No person not being a resident citizen

of, or established in business in this State,

acting as agent of merchants, &c. to sell

within the city of Baltimore by the sample,

card, etc. articles enumerated in 1st sec.

of act of 1827, ch. 117, without first ob-

taining license, etc.

Upon violation of the provisions of this

act to forfeit $500, etc. one-half to inform-

er, the other half to clerk Baltimore city

court, informer witness, to he recovered by

action of debt, etc.

License to sell in the mode aforesaid to

be granted by clerk of Baltimore city or

county court, person applying to pay clerk

$300, license to authorise persons to sell

from date, etc. until 1st May next thereaf-

ter, etc.

Conditions prescribed for persons to act

as brokers after 1st May 1846, etc.

Clerk of Baltimore city and county court

to account with and pay into the treasury

all monies received as required by act of

1827, ch. 117 and supplements.

MECHANICS— In the construction of the

original act and supplements same effect

to be given as to acts which confer general

jurisdiction or are remedial, and such a-

mendments may be made, etc. as may be

necessary to effect the objects, etc. of said

acts and the amount of the claim filed not

to be increased or enlarged.
