1845. RESOLUTIONS.

Blackistone, John S. Sellman and John N. Watkins, the
sum of five dollars per day lor their services while attend-
ing by order of the Legislature to the taking of testimony
in the case of the contested election for Senator in Fre-
derick county, subject to the deduction of such sums
which they may have heretofore received on that ac-
count.

2, 1846.

Resolution to pay to the orders of the Committee of
Claims a sum therein mentioned for the repair of the
House of Delegates of damage done by fire.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State pay to the order of the Com-

mittee of Claims of the House of Delegates a sum of
money not exceeding in amount one hundred dollars, for
expenses inclined in repairing damages done to the Hall
of the House of Delegates by the fire on the night of the
nineteenth of February, eighteen hundred and forty-six,
and for other expenses growing out of said accident.

2. 1846.

Resolution in favor of Wm. B. Dail.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer be and he is hereby directed to pay Wm.
B. Dail of Dorchester county, the sum of twelve dollars
and two and half cents, being the amount paid by him to
the clerk of said county, for stamps on his bond as coun-
ty, State and Colonization tax collector, contrary to the
decision of the Court of Appeals.

30, 1846.

Resolution authorising the Governor to appoint one or
two persons to cause Index to be made to the Laws,
from eighteen hundred and thirty-eight to eighteen
hundred and forty-five.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be and he is hereby authorised to employ
