An act to authorise Benjamin T. Pindle, late Sheriff and
Collector of the County and State Taxes in Anne Arun-
del County, further time to complete his collections of
officers fees, and County and State Taxes remaining
uncollected in said County.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Benjamin T. Pindle, late sheriff and
collector of the county and State taxes in the county
aforesaid, be and he is hereby authorised and empower-
ed to collect any fees or taxes now remaining due to and
uncollected by him in the county aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Benjamin T.
Pindle shall in every instance, before he shall proceed to
the aforesaid collection make affidavit before some jus-
tice of the peace for Anne Arundel county that the same
remains unpaid, and that he hath not received any secu-
rity or satisfaction for the same, or any part thereof, more
than the credits allowed thereon.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not con-
tinue in force longer than one year from the date of the
passage thereof.

An act to extend the jurisdiction of single Justices of the
Peace in Howard District of Anne Arundel County.
|

SECTION T. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, any single justice of the peace in and for Howard
District of Anne Arundel county, shall have jurisdiction
in all cases where they now have jurisdiction, where the
amount in controversy does not exceed the sum of one
hundred dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts that are inconsistent with the provisions of this act,
be and the same are hereby repealed.
