legislature which is hereby reserved in its fullest extent
to impose from time to time, and at times hereafter, and
levy such reasonable tax or license, or otherwise upon
all steam boats, vessels or other property, estate or funds,
in which the capital stock of said company hereby
incorporated, shall be invested in common with similar
steam boats, vessels, property, estate or funds of any
other company, corporation or individual of this State.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That said corporation is
hereby prohibited from issuing any note, certificate, de-
vice or other evidence of debt, to be used as currency,
and that the right is hereby expressly reserved to the
General Assembly of Maryland, to repeal this act at
its pleasure.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act shall endure
for thirty years, from the date of its passage, it not soon-
er repealed by the General Assembly.

A supplement to an act passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-three, chapter two hundred and
seventy-five.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That nothing contained in an act passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter
two hundred and seventy-five, shall he construed to apply
to persons who may set nets and attach them to poles not
more than four inches in diameter, south of Grove Point

and on the eastern side of the Chesapeake bay; pro-
vided, that said poles are removed after fishing season;
and provided also, that the said stakes do not extend be-
yond one and a half miles from the shore.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the act of December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-four chapter one hun-
dred and sixty-one, be and the same is hereby repealed.
