lively, for which services the said clerks and registers
shall be entitled to charge, demand and receive the sum
of twenty-five cents for each action or suit, to be taxed in
the bill of costs against the plaintiff or plaintiffs in said
action or suit.

CHAP. 255.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said clerks and
registers respectively, shall enter and transcribe as afore-

said, the docket entries of all and every execution or ex-
editions which shall be entered satisfied, or otherwise
finally settled, and also the docket entries of all and
every fieri facias or fieri facias's, or other final process,
under which any personal property shall have been seiz-
ed or taken, together with a copy of the schedule or
schedules accompanying such fieri facias, and also the
sheriffs return on such execution or fieri facias, regularly
paged and alphabeted as aforesaid, for which services
the said clerks and registers shall be entitled to charge,
demand and receive, the same compensation for each ex-
ecution and fieri facias as aforesaid required to be tran-
scribed, and the entries in the same, as is allowed by
the first section of this act, to be taxed by said clerks
and registers in the additional cost of said execution or
fieri facias, and endorsed thereon

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That if any clerk
or register as aforesaid, shall neglect or refuse to com-

ply with the provisions of this act, he shall forfeit and
pay the sum of two hundred dollars, to be recovered by
indictment in any of the county courts of this State, or
Howard District, for the use of the State.
