CHAPTER 250.

CHAP. 251.

An act for the extension of the time of Richard B. Bouldin,
collector for the second election district in Cecil county,
for the payment of the Direct and Income Tax.

4, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time for the payment of the direct

and income tax, and all other taxes due the State, for the
year eighteen hundred and forty-three and eighteen hun-
dred and forty-four, by Richard B. Bouldin, collector for
the second election district in Cecil county, be extended to

the first day of January, eighteen hundred and forty seven;
provided, that the responsibility of the sureties of the said
Richard B. Bouldin, shall not be affected thereby; the
State reserving to itself all its rights and remedies
against said sureties, notwithstanding the provisions of
this act; provided further, that the said sureties file their
assent thereto in writing, in the office of the clerk of the
said county, on or before the first day of April next.

Provisoes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That no proceeding shall
he had upon the bond of the said Richard B. Bouldin,

collector as aforesaid, until after the first day of January,
in the year eighteen hundred and forty seven; provided,
the sureties of the said Richard B. Bouldin, give their
assent thereto, in the manner specified in the preceding
section.

CHAPTER 251.

Proviso.

An act to divorce Richard Adams, of Talbot county, and
Emeline P. Adams, his wife.

Passed Mar.
4, 1846.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the marriage heretofore solemnized between Ri-
chard Adams, of Talbot county, and State of Maryland,
and Emeline P. Weed, of the now Territory of Wiscon-
sin, but formerly of the city of Philadelphia, and State
of Pennsylvania, be and the same is hereby declared
null and void, and that the said Richard and Emeline,
be and they are hereby divorced a vinculo matrimonii.
