CHAPTER 201.

An act for the incorporation of Frederick Division Num-
ber Fifteen, of the Sons of Temperance.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George Beckenbaugh, Israel C. Oneal,
Abraham Haff, Joseph C. Fauble, Daniel D. Gould, Jef-
ferson Shields, Josiah Harrison, George J. Connor, Wil-
liam Washburn, David Walling, Otho G. Ent, Simeon
W. Harkey, Thomas Turner, Hugh McMackan, Philip
Hawman, Josiah M. Little, Mountjoy B. Luckett, all of
Frederick county, State of Maryland, and other officers
and members of Frederick Division, Number Fifteen of
the Sons of Temperance, and their successors, be and

they are hereby declared to be a community, corporation
and body politic by the name and style and title of Fred-
erick Divison, Number Fifteen of the Sons of Tempe-
rance, and by that name, they and their successors, shall
and may, at all times hereafter, be capable in law, to

shall be capable in law to sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded, answer and be answered unto, defend and be
defended, in all or any courts of justice, and before all
or any judges, officers or persons, in all and singular, any
actions, matters or demands whatever.

lawful for the said corporation to make by-laws, and
have a common seal for their use, and the same, at their
will and pleasure, to change alter and make anew, from
