CHAP. 199.
Majority to
transact busi-
ness.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That a majority of said
bridge commissioners shall be competent to transact any
business relative thereto, and be allowed such reasona-
ble compensation for their services, as shall be deemed
right by the commissioners.
|
|
|
Repealed.
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all laws heretofore
passed respecting the building a bridge at or near Pyles'
mill, be and the same are hereby repealed.

An act to make valid the sales of land in Somerset Coun-
ty, made by John S. Crockett and John N. Bowland,
late Collectors of the taxes levied for the use of the said
County.

Ratified, con-
firmed and
made valid.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sales of real estate made on the twentieth of
April, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-five, by
John S. Crockett, collector of the taxes levied for the
use of Somerset county, for the years eighteen hundred
and thirty-seven, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, and
eighteen hundred and thirty-nine; and the sales made
on the same day by John N. Bowland, collector as afore-
said, for the years eighteen hundred and forty, and eigh-
teen hundred and forty-one, be and the same are here-
by ratified, confirmed, and made valid to all intents and

purposes whatever; provided, however, that the person
or persons to whom said real estate belonged, before said
sale, may redeem the same at any time within twelve
months from the passage of this act, on paying to the
purchaser or purchasers thereof, the amount paid by
them, and interest thereon, at the rate of six per cent, per
annum, from the day of said sale.
