CHAPTER 146.
An act authorising and directing the County Commis-
sioners of Cecil County, to levy a sum of money for
the maintenance and support of Joseph Butler, an in-
digent invalid pauper, in said County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the county commissioners of Cecil county are here-
by authorised and directed to levy annually, on the asses-
sable property in said county, the sum of thirty dollars,
to be placed in the hands of James Moore or some other
proper, person, for the maintenance and support of Jo-
seph Culler, an indigent invalid pauper in the said coun-

A supplement to an act for the relief of certain Mechanics
and others, of Howard District of Anne Arundel County,
passed at December session, one thousand eight hundred
and forty-three, chapter three hundred and thirty-two.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of tax of Howard
District be, and they are hereby authorised and directed
to levy on the assessable property of said district, such
sums of money as may be necessary to pay the interest
now due, or that may hereafter become due on the exist-
ing debts, contracted on account of work done and ma-
terials furnished for the public buildings of said district.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
aforesaid, are hereby authorised and directed to levy
annually on the assessable properly of said district, the
sum of two thousand dollars, as provided for in the origi-
nal act, to which this is a supplement, and for the pur-
poses therein mentioned, until the existing debts; princi-
pal and interest, contracted for and on account of the
public buildings of said district as aforesaid, be fully
satisfied and paid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all parts of the origi-
nal act, to which this is a supplement, that are inconsis-
tent with the provisions of this act, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
