CHAPTER 134.

An act for the opening and extension of Chew street in
the city of Baltimore.

CHAP. 136.

Passed Feb.
20, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered
to open and extend Chew street in said city, from the
west side of Stirling street, to the east side of Britton
street, to intersect at or near Neighbour street.

Open and ex-
tend street.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Mayor and
City Council be, and they are hereby authorised awl em-
powered to appoint commissioners, and to provide by
ordinance, for the assessment of damages and benefits,
and to perform all other acts necessary to effect such
opening and extension; provided, they shall consider it
expedient so to open the said street.

CHAPTER 135.

Appoint Com-
missioners.

Proviso.

An act to allow James Spicer, Robert L. Morgan, Isaac
Stansbury, Rhesa Norris and Hugh C. Whiteford, late
collectors of County and State taxes for Harford Coun-
ty, further time to complete their collections.

Passed Feb.
21, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General. Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
James Spicer, late collector of county and State taxes in
Harford county, tor the years eighteen hundred and forty-
one, eighteen hundred and forty-two, eighteen hundred
and forty-three, and eighteen hundred and forty-four;
Robert L. Morgan, late collector of county and State
taxes in Harford county, for the years eighteen hundred
and forty-three and eighteen hundred and forty-four;
Isaac Stansbury, late collector of county and State taxes
in Harford county, for the years eighteen hundred and
forty-three, eighteen hundred and forty-four and eighteen
hundred and forty-five; Rhesa Norris, late collector of
county and State taxes, for the years eighteen hundred
and forty-three and eighteen hundred and forty-four, and
Hugh C. Whiteford, rate collector of county and State
taxes for the years eighteen hundred and forty-one, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-two and eighteen hundred and
