CHAPTER 98.

CHAP. 100.

An act to authorise Robert W. Latham and Lawrence P.
Bayne, of the City of Baltimore, to bring into this State,
four negro slaves for life.

Passed Feb.
19, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for Robert W. Latham and Law-
rence P. Bayne, of the city of Baltimore, to bring into this
State a negro woman named Emily, and her child Thomas;
also, negro girl Ellen, and boy Londen, slaves for life, and

retain them; provided, the said Robert W. Latham and
Lawrence P. Bayne, shall comply with the provisions of
the act of Assembly, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-nine, chapter fifteen.

CHAPTER 99.

 

An act for the relief of Primary School District, number
thirty, of Howard District.

Passed Feb.
18, 1845.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the proceedings of the meeting of taxa-
bles, of primary school district, number thirty, of Howard
District, held on the twenty-ninth day of July, in the year
one thousand eight hundred and forty-three, be and the
same are hereby ratified and confirmed.

Ratified and
confirmed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Thomas Burgess, col-
lector, shall be and he is hereby allowed until the first
day of February next ensuing the passing of this act, to
complete his collections of the taxes assessed and imposed
by said meeting.

CHAPTER 100.

 

An act to allow John H. Hodson, late Sheriff and Collector
of Dorchester County, further time to complete his collec-
tions.

Passed Feb.
19, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That John H. Hodson, late sheriff and collector of Dor-
chester county, be and he is hereby authorised to. collect
until the first day of May, eighteen hundred and forty-six,
