CHAPTER 93.

CHAP. 95.

An act authorising Samuel Cox, of Charles County, to
bring into this State, from the District of Columbia, a
negro girl named Ellen.

Passed Feb.
19, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for Samuel Cox, of Charles county,
to bring into this State a negro girl Ellen, a slave for life,
ard retain her therein; provided, the said Samuel Cox shall
comply with the provisions of the act of Assembly, passed
December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, chap-
ter fifteen.

CHAPTER 94.

 

An act making additional provision for the Crier of Anne
Arundel County Court.

Passed Feb.
19, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the crier of Anne Arundel county court, shall in act-
dition to his fees, as now allowed by law. receive a per
diem allowance of the same amount as the bailiff of Anne
Arundel county court, which said per diem shall he allow-
ed for every day the court sits, either for the despatch of
business of the county, or removed cases, either civil or
criminal, from other counties, or from the city of Balti-
more, which said allowance shall be levied and paid in all
respects, as is the allowance of bailiff and other expenses
of said court

CHAPTER 95.

 

An act for the relief of Peter Megee, of Frederick County.

Passed Feb.
18, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for Peter Megee, of Frederick
county, to bring into this State a negro man Basil, a slave
for life, and retain him therein; provided, the said Peter
Megee shall comply with the provisions of the act of As-
sembly, passed December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-nine, chapter fifteen.
