CHAPTER 82.

CHAP. 83.

An act to continue the charier of the Fell's Point Savings
Institution of Baltimore.

Passed Feb.
11, 1845.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Fell's Point Savings Institution of Baltimore, passed at
December session eighteen hundred and thirty-two, and a
supplement thereto, parsed at December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, and a further supplement passed
at December session eighteen hundred and thirty-four, be
and the same are hereby continued in force until the first
day of April, eighteen hundred and sixty, and to the end
of the next annual session of the General Assembly there-
after.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation
shall have power to issue notes of the nature, and in the
usual form of bank notes, and of any denomination not less

than five dollars; provided, that the whole amount of such
issue shall not exceed at any time, the amount of capital
actually paid in.

Proviso.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That before the said corpo-
ration shall proceed to issue notes as aforesaid, they
shall pay into the Treasury, twenty cents on every hun-
dred dollars of their said capital; and shall continue an-
nually to make such payments, during the time they shall
exercise the privilege granted in the preceding section for
the benefit of the free schools.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
may at any time alter, annul or repeal this act.

hew, Johns Hopkins, William Howell, Henry D. Harvay,
Robert Wylie, Davit Stewart, James Taylor, F. W.
Brune, James J. Fisher, William Reynolds, James Hoop-
er, Junior, David Hays, William Chesnut, William Wynn,
Asa Needham, James Patterson, William Swain, Charles
B. Green, William B. Noiris, their associates, proprietors
