person or persons, for the said taxes or public dues, with
the interest thereon, by the authority of this act, shall de-
liver or cause to be delivered to such person chargeable
with the same, or leave at his or her last place of abode,
a particular account of the species and amount of proper-
ty with which such person is assessed; the rate of tax im-
posed thereon, and the amount of such tax, with an affi-
davit annexed thereto, that he hath not, nor has any per-
son for his use, received any part thereof, or satisfaction
for the same, more than the credits given, to the best of
his knowledge and belief.

CHAP. 51.

CHAPTER 50.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Kent County, to ad-
minister oaths or affirmations in certain cases therein
mentioned.

Passed Feb.
8, 1845.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
it shall and may be lawful for the president and clerk of
the levy court of Kent county, to administer oaths or af-
firmations relating to the business matters of said court
in all cases, now required by the laws of this State, or
the rules and regulations of said court.

May adminis-
ter oaths.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That all persons hereafter
elected members of said court, may qualify as such by
taking the oaths or affirmations required by law before the
president or clerk of said court.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all former acts incon-
sistent or repugnant to this act, be and the same are here-
by repealed, and that this act shall go into operation from,
and immediately after its passage.

Repealed.

An act to incorporate the Susquehanna Fire Company of
Port Deposit, Cecil County.
