COMMISSIONS ALLOWED TO TRUSTEES, &c.

   

trustee, it shall be the duty of register to

   

give notice to deputy attorney general,

   

who shall put bond of trustee, &c. in suit.

"

Register or clerk, as the case may be,

   

to pay to the treasurer on or before the

   

1st days of July, October, April and Janu-

   

ary, all monies received under this act,

   

with statement of amount received accom-

   

panying the same by each, and on failure,

   

their bonds to be put in suit and recovery

   

had, with interest of 10 per cent, from

   

date of default.

Upon payment to register, &c, they to

   

give to said trustee, duplicate receipts, one

   

to be forwarded by trustee to the treasurer

   

to be preserved, copies whereof to be evi-

   

dence in suils, &c.

"

Before the exhibition of copy of receipt

   

retained by trustee, to the collector of in-

   

come tax, when he shall so receive the in-

   

come tax laid by said trustee, the collector

   

to credit amount of said receipt, if trustee

   

have more than one such receipt for the

   

bill for said tax received by said trustee.

"

No credit to be given unless said trus-

   

tee pay to said collector the balance, if

   

any, of said bill so due.

"

Collector to be credited on bond instead

   

of said receipts, with the amount thereof

   

as so much money collected and paid over.

"

Act to take effect after I st day of June

   

next.

COMMISSIONS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF

   

THE STATE—So much of the 3d sec-

   

tion of the act of 1843, chapter 284, as

   

requires the clerks of the county courts to

   

pay all sums received by them into the

   

tieasury within 20 days alter, be repealed.
