the State; it appearing that the said Robert Crouch re-
ceived his pension regularly up to the second of July,
eighteen hundred and twenty-three, and died on the
twelfth of October next ensuing, and the arrearages of
pension being from the time of the last payment until his
death.

Resolution authorising the Treasurer to receive from the
President of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Compa-
ny, certain Coupons in their possession.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the commissioner of loans receive from and give his re-
ceipt to the president or other proper officer of the Chesa-
peake and Ohio Canal Company, for the coupons now in
their possession, and amounting to £21, 475, sterling, as
appears by the sixteenth annual report of the said compa-
ny, dated the third of June, eighteen hundred and forty-
four, and that the said coupons, when so received, be re-
tained by the said commissioners, for the purpose of being
cancelled and destroyed, at the time and in manner direct-
ed for the cancellation or coupons received in payment of
taxes.

Resolution requesting His Excellency, the Governor, to
transmit certain Resolutions to our Senators and Repre-
sentatives in Congress.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor transmit to the Senators and Representatives
of this State in Congress, the preamble and resolutions
passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, in favor of
pledging the public lands for the payment of two hundred
millions of stock recommended to be issued for the relief
of all the States.
