SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this
bill shall not be construed to extend to any case of con-
tested election now pending.

An act to regulate the Publication of the Proceedings of
the Commissioners of Washington County.

Section I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act it
shall be the duty of the commissioners of Washington
county to advertise for proposals to do the necessary print-
ing of said commissioners, and if a majority of the pub-
lishers of newspapers in said county shall agree to pub-
lish at one half of the prices now or recently charged, the
commissioners shall publish in all such papers, but they
shall not publish in more than three papers if required to
pay the full usual charges.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

A further supplement to an act entitled, an act to revive
the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth sections
of an act, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and fifteen, chapter one hundred and sixty-six, entitled
an act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike
Road, commencing at the west end of Fredericktown
to Harper's Ferry, on the Potomac River, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, chap-
ter two hundred and sixty-eight.
