III. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all monies which shall remain in the treasury, after discharging
the journal of accounts, and all unappropriated money which may come into the treasury, be first
applied to the payment of the civil list for the ensuing year.

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, that certain records and papers apper-
taining to the estates of deceased persons, require transcribing and recording in the register's
office of Prince-George's county, and that said records and papers are liable to be damaged and lost;
therefore,

Preamble,

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it shall and may be lawful for the
justices of the orphans court of Prince-George's county, and they are hereby empowered and re-
quired, to cause to be transcribed and recorded by the register of wills of said county, in good
leather bound books, to which fair and regular alphabets shall be prefixed, such records, and all
such papers filed in the -office of the register of wills of said county, as they, or a majority of them,
in their judgment, may deem necessary and proper to be transcribed and recorded.

III. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said register shall receive the same fees for his said services
as he is by law entitled to for services of a similar nature.

IV. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court of Prince-George's county shall levy, on the
assessable property of said county, such sum of money as the fees for recording and transcribing
said records and other papers may amount to, to be collected and paid over by the collector of said
county to the register aforesaid.

V. AND BE IT ENACTED., That this act shall continue in force until the first day of March,
eighteen hundred and ten, and no longer.

An ACT annulling the marriage of George Sampson and Pamela
Sampson.
|

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by the petition of Pamela Sampson,
that she intermarried with a certain George Sampson in the year eighteen hundred and one,
and had issue by him, now living; that the said Pamela and George her husband, lived on terms
incompatible with the happiness of the conjugal union, which every day, if possible, increased,
owing to intoxication, which deranged his mind; that the said Pamela is entirely dependent on her
friends and neighbours for a support for herself and infant child, and praying that a law may pass
annulling her marriage with the said George Sampson; and the allegations in the said petition be-
ing proved to the satisfaction of this general assembly, therefore,

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the marriage of the said George
Sampson and Pamela his wife, heretofore solemnized, be and the same is hereby declared to be ab-
solutely, and to all purposes, null and void, and the said George Sampson and Pamela his wife, are
hereby declared to be divorced a vinculo matrimonii; provided always, that nothing in this act con-
tained shall be construed to illegitimate any issue of the said George Sampson and Pamela his wife,
born prior to this act.

An ACT for the relief of the representatives of George Sharky, of
Washington county.

WHEREAS George Sharky, late of Elizabeth town, Washington county, emigrated to, and
settled in, this state, and since his emigration and settlement as aforesaid has acquired real
property therein, and his title to such property may be called in question, to the great injury of his
representatives, from his not having become naturalized agreeable to the laws of the United States
before the purchase of such real property; therefore,
