AN ACT to repeal Sub-section (d) of Section 264 of Article
66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-heading "Further Regulations in County Waters",
and to enact in lieu thereof a new Sub-section (d), to
stand in the place and stead of the sub-section so re-
pealed, regulating fishing in the Little Magothy and the
Magothy Rivers and their tributaries in Anne Arundel
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (d) of Section 264 of Article
66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-heading "Further Regulations in County Waters", be
and it is hereby repealed and a new Sub-section (d) be and
it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place
and stead of the sub-section so repealed, and to read as
follows:
264.
(d) Fishing with nets of any description, or any other
contrivance, except with rod, hook and line, is prohibited
in the waters of the Magothy River and tributaries lying
westerly and inside of a line drawn 2H degrees true from
extreme end of Mountain Point to Persimmon Point, re-
ferring to Coast d Geodetic Survey Chart No. 566, 4th
Edition, dated August 1948 and corrected to July 1, 1950,
at mouth of said Magothy River; and also in all waters of
Little Magothy River and its tributaries, provided, how-
ever, that in the waters of said Magothy River and its
tributaries and in the waters of said Little Magothy River
and its tributaries, it shall be lawful to use eel pots or
minnow traps not to exceed 30 inches in length, 11 inches in
width and 11 inches in height and except during the months
of February, March and April, to use "D" bow frame nets
with handle attached not to exceed 36 inches in width or
36 inches in height, but said "D" bow frame nets shall not
be used as stationary or set nets.
