Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
said new section to be known as Section 461, to be under
the new sub-title "Stock Car Races, " and to follow im-
mediately after Section 460, regulating and licensing
stock car racing in Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Laws of
Harford County (1942 Edition), being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County, " said new section to be known as Section 461, to
be under the new sub-title "Stock Car Races, " and to follow
immediately after Section 460, and to read as follows:

Stock Car Races ............

461. (a) Each person, firm or corporation, resident or
non-resident, operating in Harford County an establish-
ment for racing motor vehicles known as stock cars and
charging an admission fee to spectators at such races shall
pay for the privilege of conducting such establishment an
annual license fee of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($250. 00).

(6) It shall be the duty of the County Commissioners to
issue such license after conducting a public hearing and
after ascertaining that the operation of the proposed stock
car racing track will not interfere with schools, churches,
public institutions or the public welfare of the county.

(c) In the event that Harford County enacts a zoning
ordinance, County Commissioners may by resolution dele-
gate their powers hereunder to the Zoning Commission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
