as Section 54B of said Article and to follow immediately
after Section 54A thereof, and to read as follows:
54B. The County Commissioners are authorized, in
their discretion, to establish and maintain an electric light
system upon the public streets, roads, or alleys of any
municipality, town, or village in St. Mary's County. The
County Commissioners may, in their discretion, discon-
tinue any electric light system established under the pro-
visions of this section when said system is deemed to be no
longer necessary for the public safety.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to add a new section to the Montgomery County
Code (1950 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-chapter "Gen-
erally", said new section to be known as Section 4-2A
and to follow immediately after Section 403 4-2 of said
Article, AND TO ADD A NEW SECTION TO
ARTICLE 11 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF MARYLAND (1930 EDITION), TITLE
"FREDERICK COUNTY", SUB-TITLE "CIRCUIT
COURT", SAID NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS
SECTION 74 AND TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 73 THEREOF, authorizing the
County Council of Montgomery County AND THE
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FREDERICK COUN-
TY to pay any resident judge of the Sixth Judicial Cir-
cuit a salary in addition to that salary received from
the State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That be and there is added a new section to the
