existing Washington Suburban Sanitary District boundary
to the point of beginning to complete a closed area.
(b) The jurisdiction of the Washington Suburban Sani-
tary Commission is hereby extended to include the area
above described and said area shall be subject to all the
rules and regulations of the Commission and all provisions
of law relating to said District including taxes, benefit
assessments and other sums or charges levied by said Com-
mission in other parts of said District.
SEC 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

.AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 182 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County",
sub-title "Fire Departments", as said section was
amended by Chapter 192 of the Acts of 1951, relating
to payments to be made to certain volunteer fire depart-
ments in Garrett County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 182 of Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "Fire Departments", as said
section was amended by Chapter 192 of the Acts of 1951,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
182. The County Commissioners of Garrett County are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the
