(1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Water Fowl and Migratory Birds", relating to the use
of sneak boats in Allegany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 150 of Article 66C of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Natural Re-
sources", sub-title "Water Fowl and Migratory Birds", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

150. (a) During the open season, wild water fowl may
be taken only with a shot gun which is not larger than ten
gauge, which is loaded only with shot and which is fired
from the shoulder. Such wild water fowl may be taken
on land or on water and the aid of a dog or dogs or of
decoys may be employed. It shall be unlawful to hunt,
pursue, or kill any wild water fowl of any species with or
by means of any automatic loading or hand-operated re-
peating shot-gun capable of holding more than three shells,
the magazine of which has not been cut off or plugged
with a [one-peace] one-piece metal or wooden filler in-
capable of removal through the loading end thereof so as
to reduce the capacity of said gun to not more than three
shells at any one time in the magazine and chamber com-
bined, unless Federal regulations provide otherwise. It
shall be unlawful to have a rifle in possession while hunting
wild waterfowl. It shall be unlawful to use more than ten
live decoys on any one property at any one time. No
water fowl, except crippled birds not otherwise retrievable,
shall be shot while resting on water or land. It shall be un-
lawful to use any airplane, sink box or sink boat, or float-
ing device towed by a power boat or a sail boat for the
purpose of hunting wild water fowl therefrom; provided,
however, it shall be lawful to use sneak boat or bushwack
rig on the Susquehanna Flats and on the waters of the
Elk and Sassafras Rivers in Cecil County and on the
waters of the Potomac and Monocacy Rivers in Allegany
and
Frederick [County] Counties and on the waters of the
Potomac River in Montgomery and Washington Counties.
It shall be unlawful to use any decoy, sneak boat or bush-
wack rig (or any part thereof) within 500 yards of any
stake blind or shore blind in Harford and Cecil Counties.
Any gun which cannot be habitually raised and fired from
the shoulder and any gun larger than number ten gauge
or rifle of any description found in the vicinity of the areas
of wild water fowl shall be confiscated by any officer of
this State and delivered to the Director.
